Italian and Kiwi couple Noel and Kim Cimadom brought Europe back with them when they returned to New Zealand. The result is The Clarence Hospitality Group, made up of Clarence Tauranga in the city centre, Alpino in the Mount and Picnicka at 38 Elizabeth.  Kim put her decades of experience in fashion and design into the décor of each place.  Meanwhile Noel brought his Italian passion for food and wine, along with the fine dining management experience he had gained throughout Europe.

Built in 1905, Clarence’s historic post office home suits us perfectly as it combines European style with New Zealand history. We’ve brought a modern vibe to the building, while celebrating its gorgeous historic aspects.
